Old school vibes. Closest to HDB-style al fresco dining. Nice and cooling during dinner time. The hotplate oyster omelette is special. Big and fresh oysters. Egg is soft and fluffy, and somehow tastes like satay. I would come back again to try other items on the menu. Service can be a bit slow. Be patient when eating here. It's ok to go up to the staff to politely ask for what you want (e.g. ask for a table, order your food).

I recently visited Jia Wang Cafe and was thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. Nestled in the old Bukit Ho Swee estate is Jia Wang Cafe. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of dishes that perfectly captured the flavors of local Singaporean cuisine. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices. The service was outstanding as well. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed. The cafe itself has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a leisurely dining experience, Jia Wang Cafe is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

really glad I found this gem of a place! super cozy and food is great too. here’s what we ordered: - pig trotter bee hoon (super fatty, shiok ) - wang wang fried rice - oyster omelette (yummy ) - french bean (nice and crispy) - fried garlic pork (super sinful & satisfying, eat the garlic itself for a burst of flavour) - complimentary dessert from the kind boss! 谢谢!

Heard so much about this place so decided to give it a shot!!! DiD NOT DISAPPOINT! The Garlic Pork is very tasty and the long beans was certainly cooked to in my opinion perfection! I came on a Sunday evening during peak periid and still could find a table for 4! The price is also VERY ATTRACTIVE! Will definitely coming back tp try their Har Cheong Chicken and the bee hoon soon.

Definitely one of the better tze chars I have tried. Their food are all generally above average, but their specialty garlic pork definitely stood out for us. The pork is crispy and nicely fried, and the fried garlic along with the dark sauce drizzle, greatly enhances the flavour of the pork. Even eating the garlic skin with the pork brings out another surprising flavour - making the dish multi-dimensional in terms of flavour wise. My partner and I ate 1.5 bowls of rice each cause of how 下饭 the dishes are. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try, but suggest to come early as the place has a long queue by the time we finish eating around 7. Try to reach by 6 or earlier if possible.

For Locals & Tourists If you're looking for delicious Zi Char food, including curry fish head and more, at reasonable prices—without expecting a Conrad hotel dining experience—I highly recommend Jia Wang Cafe. Believe me, I've tried numerous Zi Char stalls in Singapore, and I still find myself visiting Jia Wang every two weeks. 3838

Hidden gem tucked beneath an HDB block Affordable Must-try dishes: Fried Garlic Pork – Pork belly marinated in red fermented beancurd, deep-fried till golden, topped with crispy garlic and a mildly sweet dark sauce. Bold, aromatic, and seriously addictive. Stir-fried Beans with Dried Shrimp – Fragrant and savory with just the right crunch. A humble dish done perfectly. Oyster Egg on Hotplate – Soft, silky eggs with fresh oysters, served sizzling. Rich, comforting, and not greasy. Hor Fun with Gravy – Smoky wok hei, smooth eggy sauce, and fresh toppings—comfort food at its best. Friendly Reminder Tip: Seating is limited, so call ahead if you’re planning to visit during peak hours.
